a bit over 10 years ago, shortly after our mother passed away, my father got diagnosed with Alzheimer. He passed away from it and complications in his hip a few months ago. We were however lucky, he kept his sense of humor right before his death and also still recognized who we were. That said, its horrible to see a loved one slowly change like this. A event like this is great as Alzheimer is one of those diseases that is often underestimated. Great event, great crew, runners and donators. Lets hope that this creates more awareness and hopefully a cure so that other families are spared from this disease. Thanks all.
